Union University will be hosting several camps this year. The First Contact Camp will be held next Tuesday and Thursday. We could use this as a practice session as we prepare to play in our last tournament in Hotsprings.
I highly recommend signing up for them to get at least some college experience.
The camp will be held April 5th and 7th from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. each night. Age group ranges from middle school through high school. This camp will focus entirely on ball control and defense. Excellent ball control can help any player at any level. We will work with each camper to help establish good passing and defensive technique. Each camper will get tons of reps and lots of individual attention.
— The Regional Skills Camp is not position specific and is designed to meet the developmental needs of athletes entering grades 7-12. On-court instruction will emphasize skill development in the following areas: forearm passing, setting, hitting, blocking and team defense. Off-court sessions will included facilities tour, lectures and fun activities.
— The Elite Camp offers a high level of training and advanced level of play for athletes entering grades 10-12. This camp is ideal for the experienced volleyball player and will focus on refining technique and exposing athletes to the advanced tactical aspects of the game. Players attending this camp should be very serious about learning advanced volleyball systems and training.
